Skating!!!

So a couple days after Christmas, after J had skated around the house for a couple days, we thought we'd try out the brand new skating rink in our neighboring town!! We haven't had a skating rink in several years, so I was super excited!

I used to work at the skating rink that we did have, so I got lots of practice skating and it was a really fun job to have in high school!!  I was super excited for J to get to skate on a real floor with her new skates!!

We took one of Jordan's favorite friends, our neighbor, Tapanga with us, and she had a lot of fun too!!

BJ and I weren't going to skate--we were just going to let Tapanga help J if she needed it.  Jordan did great by herself and she went around with Tapanga a few times too.

After a few minutes of watching people skate, BJ and I decided it looked fun and so we wanted to take a spin!!  We got our skates on and took turns staying with H while the other one skated around!

It was really fun!!  The rental skates are BRAND NEW and they were a little stiff...so they were hurting our feet, but we had fun and neither of us fell! ha!

Reverse skate!

She was in heaven! She had so much fun!!

They had these cool things that helped kids skate....

Jordan and her friend!

She pretty much had the time of her life.  She's been asking to go back every day since we went!  I'm positive it will be a spot we will frequent!  I am thinking, if we can go enough and she can get pretty good, we might have her 4th Birthday party there!!!!  What could be more fun?!?!

Today is the last day of 2009.  I'm pretty much in shock that it's already 2010.  Time just seems to be speeding up!  We've had a great year, and are sure 2010 will be just as great!!  I hope you all have had a wonderful year and are looking forward to a new start with 2010.

Be Blessed!!!

Look at Miss Jordan. She's so cute. Reminds me of Jessica when she was growing up, she loved to skate too.Karen Barnes
