Playdate, Haircut and a Mini getaway!

Last week we headed over to Jessica's for a playdate! Jessica and I had been discussing a time to get together and I decided it was time for Jordan to have her first haircut!! Jessica and I have a mutual friend, Lyndsey, who cuts hair...and does a great job! So I asked her if she minded to come over to Jess' too and cut J's hair while we were all there! Lyndsey has a precious little boy about Jordan's age, Hudson. They played great together! Brittany and her cute kids came to play too!!

It is times like these that I wish I was a stay at home mom, or at least had summers off! I have so many friends who stay home or have the summer off. It would be nice to be able to have more of these days!

BUT I am thankful that I have a job and have wonderful childcare by my mother-in-law.

J got her first hair cut!! At almost 3 years old! Crazy uh?! It wasn't much of a cut....Lynds just trimmed it all up and made it look a lot cleaner, and added some layers to the ends. Unless you had your hands in her hair (washing, styling) before the cut and after, you probably wouldn't notice it got cut....the curls hide a lot! But it has made a big difference!! Washing it and fixing it has been a lot easier and you can feel how much healthier it is! Thanks Lynds!

Last Friday we took a quick trip up to Branson. We didn't have much money to spend, so we stayed at the Grand Country Inn. If you have smaller kids, this is the way to go! Splash Country is perfect for younger kids. They have a GREAT toddler area and even a BABY area! It was perfect for us!! We never had to leave the Grand Country shopping center. They have food, the hotel, the splash park and even a kids play zone. I didn't get any pictures of them in the water because I didn't want to risk something happening to my camera...but I got some of them at the play zone. It was a quick trip, we just stayed one night, but it was fun and J had a blast!

So, I start my new job TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!! I'm excited and nervous all at the same time. I'm a little sad to leave my babies tomorrow....I've gotten real used to be home with them. But they miss their grandma....very much! So they will be fine! It has been a wonderful time off and I'm so glad I took it! I hope you are all having a great week....It's HOT!!
