The Skinny on Going Private...

Well, if you're here, it means I've approved you to be here. In some ways I like that, and in some ways I hate it.

At any rate, I don't have a ton of energy to go into the whole big mess but basically I got SEVERAL nasty and down right hateful comments to my blog, that were VERY specific and talked about one case in particular and gave the children's names.

This person accused me of being involved in this case and doing things like making the children lie, lying on the stand in court, and other things that I did not have anything to do with. The case was worked in 2002, three years prior to when I started with the State Police.

In short, I deleted the comments, made a post about going private and this morning when I got up I had FOUR more comments from this person continuing to bash me and accuse me of things that I never did.

BJ urged me to make a post addressing this person, and I did..you can read it below. Not 10 minutes later she responded explaining, in a way who she was. She had me confused with another Brandy that used to work for the State Police and thought I had worked with this case.

Turns out, she's a kid. A 14-16 year old girl who is friends with one of the children in the case. I plan to find her tomorrow and possibly file a harrassment complaint against her, if only to teach her a lesson.

While I don't think she's a major threat at this point, given her age...and the fact that she doesn't even have to sense to get correct information before she opens her mouth...it did make me realize that anyone I cross at work can find my blog. She found it by googling the phrase "brandy foshe state police ar."

So, while I HATE that this is the reality of my life, it's what I must do...I hope that you'll continue to come by---I truly love the blog world.

Jordan's birthday party pictures to come soon!

Oh my gosh. What a...um...huh...I can't even think of a nice way to say what I want to call her! What a crappy thing to do to someone. But, I also remember saying things at that age that I wish I never had. So maybe I shouldn't be too quick to pass judgement....

It's horrible that we have to be so careful about everything, but I think you definitely made the right decision by going private. It's something I've debated for a very long time (so please let me know how it goes). I'm so glad you added me!

I can definitely understand your need to go private. You work in an area where I think it would be the best idea in order to keep you and your family safe. I am sorry it had to be done, though.

Can't wait to see birthday pictures!

Thanks for letting me visit!

What a bummer... It's just unfortunate that there are so many crazies out there that ruin something so innocent and enjoyable as blogging.. I know what you mean though... My name and number is everywhere, I have had harrasment calls and threats! Not from blogging, just from real estate! It's just a shame! I hope this goes well! I'll still be dropping by! :)

I'm glad you found out who it was. Hate that it caused you so much grief.

I am so sorry you are having to go through this. It is too bad that some children are not taught how to find all the information before they open their mouth. I hope you get everything worked out.
