Yuckiness....

I've posted a few times before when Jordan was sick and had an ear infection. We're on like ear infection #4 or 5 now. Today we went to the doctor and she has a double ear infection. We're trying antibiotic #6. This one will run for 20 days. If at the end of the 20 days her infection is still there or if it is gone and quickly returns, we will go to an Ear Nose and Throat doctor, in order to possibly get tubes put in her ears. The doc is pretty sure her allergies is the underlying cause of the infections, paired with the commonality of ear infections in children due to small natural tubes and the position they tend to be in in infancy and children. BJ had the same issues as a child, he has severe allergies and had tubes in his ears. He also has asthma. So, that could come into play who knows. Anyway, we'll know in about a month if the tubes will be pursued. It does require anesthesia which is always risky, but it is a quick proceedure, 10-15 minutes and is very routine. I'll keep you posted. In other news, she's crawling a lot more! Though, still not a ton...she prefers to walk...scale things. She's so precious! I'm totally impartial you know.

Poor baby!! You might think I'm a freak, but due to the different angle of a small child's eustacian tubes when the 4th & 5th vertebrae (in neck) are out of alignment, it causes the tubes to retain fluids. Any time you have sitting fluid, it tends to breed infection... We went through the exact same thing with Link until I finally gave in and took him to the chiro. He has not had one ear infection since. The peds ALWAYS said he had fluid on his ears and that his ears looked horrible - even on the rare occasion that he didn't have a full blown infection. I finally took him to the chiro, I held him the whole time, the doc felt his neck with his fingers, used a little push button device to put the discs back in place and pulled on his ears to break the suction and let them drain. I took Link to the ped directly after and had him check his ears. He couldn't believe the difference and said his ears were the most beautiful and clear ones he'd ever seen!!
I started taking Keylor when she was tiny... I know lots of others that take their little ones, but I was THRILLED to have a natural alternative!
