The Pros and Cons of being private...

So I guess I've been private for over a week now. How's it going you wonder? Not the best. I really am not liking it for the most part.

The pros of being private are pretty obvious:
1-You know EXACTLY who can read your blog.
2-You know no crazies can read your blog.
3-You get e mails from people you NEVER would have known were reading your blog, asking for an invite. (this part was really cool).

The cons are:
1-You know EXACTLY who can read your blog.
2-You don't get to participate in Mr. Linky stuff
3-You have to login to visit your own blog.
4-You get less traffic on your blog.
5-You won't get to meet any new bloggers because they can't see your blog.
6-FAR less comments.

I'm sure there are more of each, but I can't really think right now. I woke up with a bad headache this morning. I'm trying hard to watch my headaches and swelling because those are indiciative of my high blood pressure here at the end. It's what got me in the hospital with J that resulted in her delivery, 2 weeks early. I'm really needing to go to the 6th, I've made several plans up until that date. Plans I really don't want to have to figure out how to reschedule or get covered. Mostly photography shoots.

My photography is really booming right now, and I couldn't be more thrilled. I'm learning a lot and having a lot of fun doing it. I'm probably crazy for booking as far as November 1st, but hey, I'm optimistic that I'll make it that far!

I've been crazy busy with work, photography, and getting stuff ready around the house. The house has taken a back seat and it's a mess right now, which is driving me crazy. Must mean I'm in that nesting phase, because it normally doesn't bother me. I can't do much about it because by the time I get home at night my feet are ginormous and I have to sit and put them up....so I don't get much done as far as cleaning goes. All well.

I only have 10 cases left at work to close before I go on leave. 10 cases to close and about 50+ cases to do paperwork on and then I'll be done. After tomorrow, I have two weeks of work left. My last day is supposed to be Halloween.

Hayden's room is finished as far as the painting and chair rail goes. My husband worked so hard in there, and I am so thankful for him. He did an AMAZING job...thanks honey!!! The curtains are hung, and one shelf is up. I still have to hang some things before I take pictures for you all to see. I have his letters for his name ready to hang, I just have to decide if I want to leave them white, paint them, embellish them with ribbon, modge podge them with paper, or what. I like the way they look white, because there's a lot of blue and brown in there and the chair rail is white, and they really pop against the blue wall and they bring out the chair rail really nicely. So I'm leaning towards leaving them white and not hanging them from ribbon, just having them float up there.

I still have to paint Jordan's dresser white and hang the things that go in her room and hers will be all done too. I re-covered a lamp shade with some bright fun fabric in her room last weekend and it turned out really nicely. I was a little worried I wasn't going to be able to do it, especially after I ruined my first 1/2 yard of fabric. But I tried again and it worked out. It looks really good.

As BJ says, I don't have a great track record when it comes to completing these "crafty tasks" I say I'm going to do. It's because I have all these plans to be crafty and when I go to execute them, they never turn out the way I want. But this one did!

I'm also trying again on the canvas front. I am painting two for Hayden and I was painting one for J. J's and one of Hayden's I was going to put a scripture on. The other for Hayden is for his door and it is going to say "You Wake Him, You Take Him." I think it'll be cute.

Last night I was putting a second coat on the boarder of Hayden's scripture one and Jordan, of course wanted to paint. I normally wait till she is in bed to paint, but I thought I could sneak in one coat without her seeing me. I was unsuccessful.

So, I let her paint on some paper and then decided to just let her paint her own canvas. I figured it would be cuter than anything I did and since she already has a ceiling tile and a canvas that were "professionally" painted, mine would probably look out of place in comparison. So, I let her do it, and it turned out really precious and I can't wait to hang it in her room. I think she'll like seeing it in there and knowing she painted it.

She's just too big for her own good. As she was sitting there painting, all of a sudden she says "I'm big girl." I literally almost started crying. We tell her all the time she is, and she'll say it when we do, but this was totally unprompted. She is such a little person. Last night, I was laying down with her and we were having our nightly talk. We lay down and talk for a few minutes, then she says "pray" and we pray. As soon as I say "amen" she says "Sing sunshine." And then we sing "You are my sunshine." Sometimes she'll ask me to sing it loud. Which, is funny. Last night, she whispers to me "sing it softly." At first I wasn't sure what she was saying so I asked her to say it again and she said it again. SOFTLY. How does she even know that word?! She's just so sweet. She amazes me everyday.

She has started saying that she can hear Hayden. I'll tell her to come feel him, she'll come over, put her hands on my belly and say "I hear him." It's so funny. I ask what he is saying and she usually says some animal noise. The latest was "cock-a-doodle-do." Which just makes me laugh.

I think she's going to be really excited when he gets here. We got a JCPenney nursery catalog in the mail the other day and she was looking at it. She came to a page that had a baby boy sitting in the floor of a nusery and she said "My baby Hayden." Again, she is just too much!

I almost forgot!! We broke the pacifier last week. Last Wednesday to be exact. So we've gone one full week. It's gone really great. The last three nights she hasn't even asked for it. Which is great. I'm so happy that it's gone as well as it has. I hope when Hayden gets here she doesn't want to go back to it.

Okay, I feel like I'm rambling now. So, I'm going to stop. I have a work shower tomorrow that I'm SO looking forward to. I work with the best people, they're family really, and I know that the shower is going to be a blast. Stay tuned for photos from that chin-dig!

If you want to see what I've been up to in my photography, check out the Foshe Fotos blog.

It's almost Friday, hope everyone's week is going great!

Now that you are private, you don't show up on my reader. So, I just have to visit to find out if you've updated. But I have a bad memory and forget to look sometimes.

It seems like you have a lot to do in the next 2 weeks before you start your leave. More power to you.

The lamp looks good and I love your little girls painting. It is so special!

Congratulations on your photography business doing so well. Your pictures are awesome! Wish you were nearby I would have you take my kids pictures.

That lamp shade is so cute, you did a good job. Jordan's picture is too cute! That is such a sweet idea to let her paint one to put in her room. Good job on breaking the pacifer! That is so hard to do! Take care of yourself!

I have so missed reading your blogs! I am getting my dose today! That is so sweet what Jordan comes up with. I love her painting. Before readint it, I thought it was more of an abstract painting.. People pay big bucks for paintings like that! :)

Hope you're doing great!
