A grown up night out....

BJ and I went out to a great event/fundraiser on Friday night. The event was put on by and benefited the Children's Safety Center. The CSC is an organization that I work closely with in my everyday work. They provide forensic services and advocacy to children who are victims of child abuse. My office is housed at the CSC and I am very close with the wonderful staff there. I conduct my forensic interviews at the CSC and we are all part of the Washington County Multi-diciplinary team, made up of Law Enforcement, Department of Human Services, ASP, Prosecutors, Child Advocates, Victim Advocates, Medical and Mental Health professionals. As a team, we work together to ensure that the cases are being worked efficiently and that the children are receiving the services they need and that none of them slip through the cracks.

It's a great team and we're very fortunate to work with such a dedicated group of professionals.

At any rate, the CSC, is a non-profit organization and so they rely on fundraising for a large portion of their budget. This was the first year of what will be their annual signature event. The event is Big Dreams, Small Hands.

It was a great night and BJ and I had a great time out on the "town" with some other grown ups! Jordan had a sleep over at grandma and grandpa's and did great, of course!

Here's some photos from the evening....there's a lot! Take special note of my large belly!! It's really sticking out there!!

Please tell Karen, Melody and Casey that I miss them dearly. You all do such great work. I cherish the three years that I was an advocate at CSC. You all will always be in my prayers. The event looked like a ton of fun!
